Palm Readings

Dear Readers,
This time, the following is a palm reading lesson as well as readings for the people who wrote in. It is very interesting for me to have read the two palms together rather than just the one. If you would like a reading, please mail or email two palms and clearly mark which is the palm you sign your name with. The hand is easiest to read when you can see fingerprints and all of the vertical lines in the palm. The scanned palms are best as jpeg files about 150dpi. It is interesting if you have a specific question. If you have a love question, also include a view of the lines on the side of your hand below the small finger.

Dear Good Norwegian Would,

The clarity of your scan makes it easier to read your palm. I see from your fingerprints that you are someone who loves epiphanous moments, ecstasy, and the view from the mountaintop. Other elements imply that you are broad and open-minded.

Your sense of humor is tragicomic, subtle yet important. When reading the headline, length doesn’t mean better. Your headline is short which implies an intelligence where you can quickly think on your feet. I have seen a similarly short headline on an editor in chief of an art magazine. You have what is called a writer’s fork on the end of your headline, which implies a literary sensibility to your work. It most of the time implies that you have talent in writing or literary based visual art.

In your 20s and late teens you a number of upsets, including one that shifted the way you think and seems to have resonated when you turned 40. The hard things that have happened in your life have given you empathy for the suffering of others. You also have a fork on the end of your lifeline, which often implies someone who lives far away from where they were born.

Your curvy small finger implies a sharp business sense. The way that all of the other fingers curve towards the index/Jupiter finger implies a concern with law. My Dictionary Oracle reading for you today is inculpate, which means to incriminate; and Independence Day, which is a holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 in the USA. Hmmm, since this is not a holiday for Norwegians, I suspect this implies that you are someone who may write her own declaration of independence, if you please.

Dear Freedom Writer,

It’s interesting to compare one palm to the other in your case. The one you sign your name with gives information about how you live, what you do with your potential, while the non-prominent palm gives info about how you were within your family and what you can do and be potentially.

A simple example of this is the difference between your two thumbs. Your right thumb on your prominent hand has equality between the phalanges, with the top half a little larger. The top half of the thumb represents will. Whereas in the non-prominent palm, the thumb has a longer lower half, implying logic is ruling. Also on the non-prominent palm, your heart line is extremely straight. There is something about the way that your family may have wanted you to carry on in a straight and narrow, yet logical way. Well, the commencement of your headline on this same non-prominent palm is very stressed by your early childhood situation, then swoops extremely low, which implies a deep, deep, depression. But on the hand you sign your name with, it is clear that you didn’t buy whatever your family was trying to sell you. This is seen by the beginning of your lifeline which has a lot of disruptive thin lines running through it. But your headline jumped away a healthy distance from the disruptive elements. This distance also implies that you can introduce new ideas or an avant garde ways of doing things.

You are definitely still moody, but not as intensely as would have been possible. As you get older you get better at choosing more compatible love relationships. Your line of success implies that the work you do goes well and soon will become stabilized.

You have a strong sense of humor in your creative work, but social issues are in play in the work as well. Your fingers imply someone who wants to see their creative work manifest in physical and practical ways rather than remaining in the idea or words-on-a-page state.

Dear Joyful Calm in the Eye of the Storm,

Please read Freedom Writer’s message to learn more about the differences between the hand you sign your name with and your non-prominent hand. On your non-prominent palm you have what is called a murderer's thumb, which can imply a suddenly provoked but seemingly out of no where quick temper. Now please don’t worry, I am not worried. Let me tell you the story that was told to me about the murderer’s thumb.

From the turn of the last century, a palm reader named Chiero described his experience with someone with a murderer’s thumb. The person was generally mild mannered and calm. Chiero warned the person that if he ever "saw red" that he should stop and not act until he'd calmed down for a long spell. This man found his lover cheating on him. He saw red and ran away instead of losing his mind and committing murder. He went back to Chiero that week to thank him for the warning about if he "saw red."

Since this is on your non-prominent hand, it becomes even less of an element that needs warning. We read the two thumb sections to describe the proportion between logic and will. On your non-prominent palm, your logic overrides your will. On your prominent hand, your will is stronger than your logic. It also looks as if you are a bit temperamental. Which implies to me that you have access to that energy rather than it being buried in your subconscious waiting to pop out.

Speaking of the subconscious, you have an interesting whorl on the moon section of your palm. This makes sense for someone born under the sign of Cancer and implies that you have access to intuitive information through dreams as well as while you are awake.

You care about the broken heart of the world. I would say that this would be a part of your work that has a practical component. Your sense of humor comes out of your subconscious in the form of jokes and puns without your trying to be funny. Then in retrospect you understand how it is funny.
